O’Reilly MacDevCenter apparently dead

by admin on July 23, 2009

I rely on O’Reilly for a lot of technical resources. I was pretty disappointed to find that they haven’t updated their Mac area for almost a year. I guess I expected better of them, but Mac doesn’t appear to be a big priority for them. When I went out looking for XCode books and they had barely anything. How disappointing. http://macdevcenter.com/

aroverlay.js + GMail

by admin on July 17, 2009

If you are using the Firefox addon “Text Area Resizer and Mover” and are getting this this problem in Firefox:

Unresponsive Script

Script: chrome://ar/content/aroverlay.js:74

It is due to some incompatibility with how the addon works and GMail’s interface. I’ve not found a replacement for this functionality in Firefox 3.5. You can uninstall the addon or disable it and wait for an update. I submitted a bug to the developer.
